About Antariksh

Antariksh Sapkota Legacy Foundation

This foundation is set up by the efforts of Mr. Santi Sapkota and Mrs. Pabitra Sapkota in memory of their beloved son, ANTARIKSH, who passed away in December, 2020. He was the light of our family, pride of his school, a gem for the community and an asset for society. He had dreams of becoming a doctor of sports medicine and he loved children and wanted to help foster kids. The scholarships will go to help the needy and deserving high school graduates in America to get one step closer to their dreams.

Antariksh, also known as Pranesh, was born on December, 2003 to Santi and Pabitra in Nepal. He arrived in the U.S.A. with his parents in 2009, and admitted in grade one at Northside Independent School District the same year. He was an A Honor Roll student throughout his school career and was enrolled at UT Austin since he was in the 10th grade for dual credit. He was in a Health Career Program in High School and was to graduate High School from NISD in June 2021. He had to write a Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam while he was a Senior in School. From a career point of view, he wanted to specialize in sports medicine and his goal was to attend the University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX. He loved both indoor and outdoor sports and was very interested in playing basketball, soccer, golf, and badminton. As an athlete, he participated in several 5K Runs. He also loved swimming and traveling.  He played the flute, guitar, and the piano.
